About Wildwood

About us:

Hi, my name is Ben Hadaller and I own and operate Wildwood Arborcare alongside my partner Emily Christie.

I was born and raised in Manitoba but started working in the BC Forest industry shortly after high school. It is now 15 years later and I am back home, raising my little family in the Whiteshell, still able to pursue my passion of working with trees.

Emily grew up in Falcon Lake. Between professional photography, helping run Falcon Trails Resort and the Falcon Ridge Ski Slopes, and being a mom, she helps me with everything. She took all the photos and built this nice website for me!

Experience:

My introduction to the world of trees began as a 20-year-old tree planter in Northern BC, which I did for 6 summers. This gave me the desire to pursue a career in forestry, and I decided to enrol in the BC tree faller program at the College of the Rockies. From that I received employment working on Northern Vancouver Island as a logger for 5 years, the last 3 of those years, exclusively as a timber faller.

Once I moved home, I enrolled in an Arboriculture program at the University of Manitoba to develop a deeper understanding. This past winter, I finalized my certification as an ISA Certified Arborist.
